Aurora Gloria Alvarado Palomar was born to Ascension and Florinda Rivera Alvarado on December 24, 1947 in Frankfort, KY and departed this life in Lawton, OK on September 2, 2018 at the at of 70 years, 8 months and 9 days.

Gloria began her childhood in Indiana but the family moved from town to town with work in the fields. They came to Temple, OK in 1959 but lived back and forth between there and Hidalgo, TX. Gloria eventually married Delfino Reyes Palomar, “Tony,” on November 15, 1999 at Ada, OK. They first made their home in Waurika, OK and soon moved to Sulphur, OK. She worked as a CNA at nursing homes through the years.

Gloria enjoyed pampering herself with makeup and perfume. She also enjoyed taking care of her birds and cats, and watching wrestling and westerns on TV.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Johnny Alvarado and Ascension Alvarado, Jr.; and her sister, Janie Alvarado.

Survivors include her husband, Tony Palomar of the home; 6 children, Janie Camacho of Lawton, Frances Ramirez of Lawton, John Thompson of Chickasha, Allen Thompson of Duncan, Jerry Thompson of Chickasha and Maria Thompson of Chickasha; 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
