Funeral Services at Open Door Church of God, Walters, Monday, December 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Roger Noland Officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home with burial in the Walters Cemetery.

 

 

 

Sharon Jean Turner was born to Mittie Irene and Lonnie Norris, Sr. on December 7, 1946 in Fort Worth, TX and departed this life in Temple, OK on December 16, 2017 at the age of 71 years and 9 days.

 

Sharon grew up at Fort Worth. She married Dewey Lee Turner, Sr. and the family eventually moved to the Burkburnett, TX area in 1974 and later to Walters, OK around 1980. Most of her working years were in nursing care. She enjoyed watching movies, doing puzzle books, sewing and especially quilting. She has been loved and cared for at Temple Manor for the past few years.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Dewey Turner; and numerous brothers and sisters.

 

Sharon is survived by 6 kids and their spouses, Ronald Joe Norris of Walters, Penny Irene Harris and Buddy of Temple, Elva Sue Harris and Ricky Bob of Walters, Tony Adam Turner of Walters, Mark Anthony Turner and Vanessa of Walters, Gloria Sidney Allen and Rodney of North Richland Hills, TX; 3 sisters, Lois Rice of Arkansas, Virginia Thompson of Newark, TX and Mary Lou Neel of Burleson, TX; 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
