Anna Belle Taylor

Graveside Memorial Services at the Temple Cemetery on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple.

 

 

 

 

Anna Belle Taylor was born to Francis Hurley and Mabel Alma (Knouse) Taylor on November 18, 1919, southeast of Temple, OK and departed this life in Temple on November 5, 2017 at the age of 97 years, 11 months and 18 days.

 

Anna Belle grew up at Temple, graduating from Temple High School and then attending Cameron College. She worked at Fort Sill and then on to Kansas for a time before settling into a job in Oklahoma City doing title insurance for American Title and Trust Company. She eventually moved back to Lawton and then retired to Temple in the early to mid-1980’s.

 

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Temple. She enjoyed doing ceramics, word puzzles and reading.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers, Raymond Logan Taylor, John Wesley Taylor, Floyd Marshall Taylor, Douglass Taylor and Francis Hurley “Cap” Taylor; and a sister, Lelia Marvis Lindsey.

 

Anna Belle is survived by a niece, Sylvia Fletcher of Brownwood, TX; 5 nephews, Larry Taylor of Walters, OK, Floyd Taylor, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Roy Taylor of Piedmont, OK, Steve Taylor of Sugarland, TX and Mark Taylor of Longview, TX; a niece-in-law, Sarah Tipton of Duncan, OK; numerous great nieces and great nephews, other relatives and friends.
