Steven Russell Griffith was born December 24, 1988 in Wichita Falls, TX and departed this life in Wichita Falls on March 29, 2017 at the age of 28 years, 3 months and 5 days.

Steven grew up at Temple, Oklahoma. He married Melissa Sue Denney on September 2, 2007 at Open Door Church of God in Walters and they have made their home in Temple. He has worked as a farm and ranch hand for the Bachand family off and on since he was 14 years old, but his real passion has been hunting hogs.

He was a “Jack of all trades.” Steven loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, buying, selling and working on cars, and tinkering. His kids meant the world to him.

Steven is survived by his wife, Melissa Griffith, of the home; 5 children of the home, Joey Lee, Cody Robert, Elissa Taylor, Stephenie Raelynn and Hunter OwenGene Griffith; his parents, Donetta and Billy Harris of Temple; a brother and 3 sisters, Jonathan Griffith of Burkburnett, Rebecca Jones of Sherman, TX, Emma Griffith of Temple, and Heather Bayless of Temple; his aunt Debra Pittman; nieces and nephews, Jeremie, Stormie, Jamie, Lizzie, Loveina, Brookeliene, Jazmyne, Kayden, Destiny “Dustin”, Chloe, Evyn; his in-laws, Vickie Denney and husband, Tim Murphy; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Amanda, Robert, Narcissie “Nar Nar” and Dillon; many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Steven was preceded in death by his nephew, Zachary Bayless; uncles, Danny and Darrell McCraw, Johnny Pittman and Jesse Fannon; aunt, Julie Magers; grandparents, Carl and Mary McCraw; and father-in-law, Joey Denney.
