Gary W. Sims, 57, Geronimo, OK

Memorial Service at Geronimo First Baptist Church on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. John Cullison and Rev. Steve Mallow officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.

Gary Wayne Sims was born to Edward and Shirley Ann (Mustain) Sims on January 17, 1960 in Lawton, OK and departed this life in Enid, OK on February 22, 2017 at the age of 57 years, 1 month and 5 days.

Gary grew up at Geronimo, graduating from Geronimo High School in 1978. He was an electrician by trade.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley; 2 aunts, Odessa Pennington and Alla Grub; and an uncle, Daymond Sims.

Survivors include a son, Jesse Coulter Sims; his parents, Edward and Eva Sims of Geronimo; a brother, Dale Sims of Geronimo; 3 step-sisters, Rhonda Davis, Rachelle Florez and Renee Urquhart; an aunt, Florence Williams, an aunt and uncle, Barbara and Robert Sims; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private family burial will be held at the Temple Cemetery.
