Nelda Faye (Williams) Davis Calfy was born to Furhman George “Jack” and Winnie Lee (Wilson) Williams on January 12, 1938 at Rabbit Creek, South of Randlett, OK and departed this life on August 11, 2016 at her home in Walters, OK at the age of 78 years, 6 months and 30 days.

Nelda grew up in the Rabbit Creek community until the family moved into Randlett. As a young lady she made her home in Colorado and New Mexico for a time before returning to Randlett. She married John R. Calfy on September 30, 1972 at Geronimo, OK and they made their home in Walters. She was a homemaker, and also worked as a florist and was a waitress for a few years. John preceded her in death on December 27, 2003.

She enjoyed attending church services at the Christian Center in Lawton until her health failed. She also enjoyed bingo, puzzles, music and dancing, garage sales, pulling pranks and growing flowers both inside and outside. Nelda loved Christmas, and collecting ornaments and angels. She also loved saltine crackers and her cats.

Nelda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John; a son, Billy Davis; two brothers, Bim Williams and Lanny Williams.

Survivors include Diane and Randy Myers of Iowa Park, TX, Jerry and Marcia Davis of Lowell, AR, Kenia Davis of Walters, Kevin and Tina Davis of Walters, and Dixie and Terry Woods of Rocksprings, WY; 2 sisters, Betty Jean Williams of Wichita Falls, TX, Lanelle and husband Jerry Colyer of Grandfield, OK; a brother-in-law, Larry Williams of Wichita Falls, TX; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; other relatives and a host of friends.
