Funeral Service at the Comanche Nation Walters Community Center on Monday, July 18 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Videll Yackeschi and Rev. Roger Noland Officiating with burial in the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters. A Prayer Service will be held Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the Community Center.

 

 

 

Vance Hartley “Moose” Hall was born to Ruth Komalty and Silas Hall on December 27, 1956 at the Lawton Indian Hospital and departed this life in Oklahoma City on July 14, 2016 at the age of 59 years, 6 months and 17 days.

 

Moose grew up at Carnegie and Lawton. He received a GED and attended school at Okmulgee before joining the United States Army. He then moved to Dallas and completed a Commercial Arts and worked maintenance for an apartment complex.

Moose eventually moved to Walters in 1992 where he worked at Parkview Manor Nursing Home as a CNA and Restoration Aid along with several other duties for 16 years. Upon the closing of the nursing home he did private home care for a time.

 

He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, doing bead and feather work, and loved watching the grandkids. He was a member the Kiowa Tribe and a member of Westside Baptist Church in Walters.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Teri Lee Siler and David Earl Waitcox; and 2 sisters, Patti High and Rena Cozad.

 

Survivors include his spouse, Brenda Martinez of Walters; a daughter, Ashely Hardin of Walters; 2 grandchildren, Aliva Hardin and Aiden Hardin of Walters; 4 sisters, Denise Turtle of Spur, OK, Gloria Tallbear of Lawton, Patti Iruegas of Cache, OK and Bondina Hall; 3 brothers, Jimmy Paul Cozad of Lawton, Robert Davenport of Phoenix, AZ and Moon Eagle Hall of MN; his Aunt Augie Moore of Lawton; several in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews, and his Piatt Family.
