Rachel Alene (Lovelace) Spurlock Clingman was born to Homer Lester and Annie Laura (Isenhour) Lovelace on July 29, 1922 near Temple, Oklahoma and departed this life on May 18, 2016, in Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 93 years, 9 months and 19 days.

Rachel grew up and went to school at Temple, graduating from Temple High School. She married Herbert Spurlock on October 14, 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1971. She later married Roy Clingman on July 14, 2001 and he died in 2006.

She was a homemaker and mother first, later working as a cashier for Sears and as a teacher’s aid for both Temple and Broken Bow Schools.

Mrs. Clingman was a member of the United Methodist Women, Study Club at Snyder, OWLS, and Red Hat Society.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husbands, Herbert Spurlock and Roy Clingman.

Survivors include, a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Charley Worthington of Richardson, TX; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Linda Spurlock of Cave Springs, AR and Joe and Melonee Spurlock of Enid, OK; 6 Grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
