Charles "Chuckie" Walters

Charles Joe “Chuckie” Walters was born to Charles Frank and Loretta Mary (Schwindt) Walters on February 13, 1963 at Lawton, OK and departed this life in Walters, OK on April 18, 2016 at the age of 53 years, 2 months and 5 days.

Chuckie grew up at Walters, graduating from WHS in the Class of 1981. He married Margaret Billen on July 25, 1983 and to the union 3 children were born. He began working in the oilfield at an early age, working several years for Speir Operating with Pete Tulloh, worked for Arkla Gas at Duncan and Altus, ran heavy equipment for the City of Lawton and traveled with JV Piping. He was last employed with Brahman Operating until his health began to fail.

Chuckie enjoyed roping, camping, fishing, riding his motorcycle, cooking out, picking his guitar and singing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Walters; his brother, Teddy Bill Walters; paternal grandfather Ted Walters; and his maternal grandmother, Betty Schwindt.

Survivors include his 4 children, Jacob, Xavier Seth and Makenzie Walters all of Walters and Jonathan of Wichita Falls, TX; his mother, Loretta Walters; his sister, LaDonna Hill; his brother, Dennis Walters; nieces and nephews, Teddy and Brooke Good, Cierra Hill, Hunter Hill, Brent and Ashley Hill, and Winston Walters; great nieces and nephews, Corbin, Ian, Zayden, Zoey and Leah; many other relatives and friends.
