Barbara Ann Moon

Funeral Service at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, OK, Saturday, April 9 at 2:00 p.m., Don Crow Officiating with burial in the Walters Cemetery.

Barbara Ann (Kimberley) Moon was born to Wayne Hicks and Charlie Mae (Rowe) Kimberley on September 12, 1959 in Oak Park, IL and departed this life in Lawton, OK on April 6, 2016 at the age of 56 years, 6 months and 25 days.

Barbara grew up moving around with the military, eventually settling at Lawton/Ft. Sill and graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1977. She married L D “Hoppy” Moon, Jr. on July 21, 1989 at Lawton. Barbara worked 10 years in the claims office for State Farm in Lawton and has since been a homemaker. She loved her grandkids and they were her life. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, magazines, soap operas and reality TV.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlie Mae Rowe.

Survivors include her husband, L D Moon Jr. of the home; her dad, Wayne Kimberley of Lindale, TX; 4 children and spouses, Ashley and Kyle McCune of Lawton, Nicholas and Shae Moon of Lawton, stepsons, Heath Moon and Summer Rathman of Burkburnett, TX, Jarrett and Elizabeth Moon of Burkburnett; 7 grandkids, Railey Moon, Shyann Moon, Kristin Moon, Taylore Little, Cody Little, Levi McCune and Graycen McCune; her brother, Michael Wayne Kimberley and Cathy Scott of Lawton; a sister, Brenda Kimberley Staeden of Lawton; other relatives and many friends.
