F.L. "Buzz" Norman

Graveside Services at the Walters Cemetery, Monday, February 15 at 11:30 a.m.  Visitation will be held from 2-4:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, February 14, at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters, OK.

Frederick Leon “Buzz” Norman was born to Henry Leon and Betty Jo (Petty) Norman on May 15, 1946 at Walters, OK and departed this life in San Antonio, TX on February 11, 2016.

Since he was a young man Buzz grew up in Walters, OK and graduated from Walters High School in 1964. His love for trains took him to Colorado Railroad School where upon graduation Buzz started his career as a dispatcher for several railroads. These included Rock Island, Southern Pacific, and Union Pacific from where he retired.

Fredrick ‘Buzz’ Norman married his high school sweetheart Vicki Nichols on March 12, 1965 at Walters, OK.

Buzz loved to fish, play golf, and work on making wood projects. He loved to play games with his family from dominoes to joker. He made custom joker game boards for family and friends, custom coolers, and wooden wagons that had all neighbors wishing they had one too. He was always working on a project and would help anyone.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leon and Betty Norman and his son Eric Leon Norman.

Buzz is survived by his wife Vicki, Ingram, TX; his daughter Robin Howard and husband Robert, Duncan, OK; his son Joel Norman and girlfriend Jenny, Hempstead, TX; his sisters Becky Simmons and husband Jack, Cindy Gee and husband Larry, Ingram, TX; his grandsons, Garrett Hebert and wife Shay, Brayden Howard, Jerad Norman, Joshua Hutto, Jacob Hutto; 1 great grandson and 2 great granddaughters; other relatives and a host of friends.
