Glennell (Dilks) Williams was born to Clarence Elbert and Nell Naomi (McTaggart) Dilks on July 24, 1928 in Temple, OK and departed this life in Walters, OK on January 18, 2016 at the age of 87 years, 5 months and 25 days.

Glennell grew up at Temple. She married Vern P. “Pop” Williams on May 12, 1946 at Temple. They made their home in Walters until moving south of town in the early 1960’s. She was a homemaker and also worked in the meat market at B&C and later at United Supermarket.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Walters. She enjoyed playing cards with her lady friends, listening to country and western music and she adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Glennell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vern; her sons, Clarence David Williams and Richard Glen Williams; her sister, Laura Lewallen; and her brother, Russell Dilks.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Connie Forrester of Walters; a sister, Zella Jo Bowers of Temple; her grandson, Trent Philpott of Walters; her granddaughter, Julie Kilgore and husband, Jeffrey, of Elgin, OK; 5 great grandchildren, twins Jessica and Jordan Kilgore, Cooper Philpott, Jaylee Kilgore and Gus Philpott; many other relatives and friends.
