Allen "Al" Klein, 79, Temple, OK Funeral Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Walters, OK on August 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Peter Jandaczek officiating with burial in the Temple Cemetery, Temple, OK. Viewing will be held at Hart-Wyatt in Temple until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 4,then a Wake Service will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Hart-Wyatt Chapel in Walters. Allen Klein was born to Joseph and Lena (Werlinger) Klein on May 25, 1936 at Belle Fourche, SD and departed this life in Duncan, OK on July 30, 2015 at the age of 79 years, 2 months and 5 days. Al grew up and graduated from High School at Newell, SD. He then joined the U.S. Army serving his country honorably in the late 1950's. On October 15, 1960 he married Carlene Williams at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Walters and to the union 4 children were born. They lived in Rapid City, SD and then on to Chicago and finally back to Temple in 1974. He has spent a lifetime as a professional carpenter and was proficient in every aspect of construction. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Walters. Al enjoyed gardening, tinkering with small engines and tractors, and loved to stay busy. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carlene Klein; a grandson, Christopher Klein; and 3 brothers, Valentine, Eddy and Andy Klein. Survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Shara and Jim Shipley of Tuttle, OK, Carla and Kevin Dunlap of Las Vegas, NV; 2 sons, Anthony Klein and Keith Klein both of Temple; 2 brothers, Mike Klein of Vancouver, WA and Casmier Klein of Bismarck, ND; 3 sisters, Cecilia Keller of Spearfish, SD, Mary Erk of Newell, SD and Regina McCoy of Browerville, MN; 4 grandchildren, Lisa Nicole Phelps of Nowata, OK, Krystin Klein of Broken Bow, OK, Trevor Shipley of Olathe, KS and Jeremy Bowman of Las Cruces, NM; 7 great grandchildren; 2 special friends, Ella Mae Hughes and Diana McIntyre; many other relatives and friends.
