James E. Scott, 72, Temple, OK Graveside service at the Ryan Cemetery, Ryan, OK, Wednesday, July 22 at 11:00 a.m., Bro. Roger Ledford officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple. Visitation to be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. James Edward Scott was born the eldest of 3 children to James Albert and Littis Valera (Ratliff) Scott on August 31, 1942 at Ardmore, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK, on July 19, 2015 at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 19 days. James grew up at Ryan, OK, where he attended school. He moved to Temple around 1960 and has made his home there since that time. He worked on the Waurika Lake project in the 1970's and eventually went to work at Shelbi Trailer in Comanche as a machinist for 20 years. He enjoyed hanging out with his family, fishing and anything outdoors. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; a brother, Leon Scott; and a nephew, David Watkins. Survivors include his sister, Lorene Snider and husband, Roger of Comanche, OK; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews of the surrounding area; other relatives and friends.
