Gene Warren

Murrel E. "Gene" Warren, Sr., 83, Temple, OK Memorial Service at The Heart of Truth Church, Temple, OK, Saturday, April 25 at 2:00 p.m. Murrel Eugene Warren, Sr. or "Big Gene," was born to Walter Hillis and Elizabeth (Morris) Warren on March 2, 1932 at Lebanon, MO and departed this life in Lawton, OK on April 22, 2015 at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 21 days. Gene grew up in California. He spent a lifetime working in Commercial Construction in California, South Carolina and also spent a year in Africa building 2 embassies. He married Patricia Orlean "Patty" (Adams) Hendrik on June 1, 2008 at Clearlake, CA. They moved to Temple, OK in March of 2009 following the death of his son, Gene Jr., in 2008. Gene enjoyed drag racing, fishing and camping. He is survived by his wife, Patty, of the home; his daughter-in-law, Renee Warren of Temple; a host of family, friends, grand and great grandchildren.
