John "Junior" Hoggatt

John Hoggatt Jr., 88, Hastings, OK Funeral services at Hastings Baptist Church, Hastings, OK, Friday, March 20 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Charles McConnell officiating. Burial in the Hastings Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple, OK. John "Bebo" Hoggatt Jr., passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Veterans Center in Norman, Oklahoma. He was born August 2, 1926 in Desdemona, TX to John Jefferson and Beulah Mae (Taylor) Hoggatt. Friends and family knew him as "Junior" or "J.R." His family moved to the Hastings area in 1934 and he attended Pecan Grove School. He and Mary Helen Northcutt were married March 17, 1945 in Waurika, OK. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during WWII and upon returning home began farming with his dad in Hastings. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents. Survivors include his son, Larry Hoggatt and wife Sheryl of Norman, OK; his daughter, Kathy Davis and her husband Bob of Okarche, OK; grandchildren, Whitney Alvarez and her husband Brian of Edmond, OK, Eli Davis and his wife, Abbie of Edmond, John Hoggatt and his wife Liz of Norman and Chris Hoggatt of Norman; 3 great grandchildren, Garritt Davis, Atley Davis and Jackson Hoggatt.
