Johnny Hawkins, Jr., 63, of Walters, OK Memorial Service at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, Friday, February 27 at 10:30 a.m. Johnny Hawkins, Jr. was born to Johnny Sr. and Dolores Joan (Trest) Hawkins on May 15, 1951 in Norman, OK and departed this life in Walters, OK on February 18, 2015 at the age of 63 years, 9 months and 3 days. Junior grew up in the Norman area, graduating from Norman High School in 1969. He then served briefly in the Air Force Reserve and began his career as a corrections officer at Lexington. He married Toni Diane Schornick at Norman and to the union a daughter, Desera, was born. Junior lived at Lexington, OK until moving to Salem, OR, where he met and married Donna Jean Hall. After many years a corrections officer he retired and moved to Walters, OK, to be near his dad in 2009, following the death of his mother that year. His dad preceded him in death in 2010 and he was also preceded by an infant sister, Debra Hawkins. Survivors include his daughter Desera Evans and her husband, Scott; a step-daughter, Wendy Davis of Plainfield, IL; 3 step-sons, Brian Hall and wife Heather of Salem, OR, Jeff Hall of Rochester Hills, MI, John Hall and Wife Jeannie of Noble, OK; 16 grandchildren, many cousins and friends.
