Betty Jo Tisdale

Betty Jo (Long) Tisdale was born to Jack and Ethel (Goudeau) Long on July 31, 1936 at Pierce, OK and departed this life in Temple, OK on October 23, 2014 at the age of 78 years, 2 months and 23 days. Betty grew up in Eastern Oklahoma and Chicago before the family made their way to Temple on a cotton pull. Here she met and later married Quinzell Unorce Tisdale on March 20, 1954 at Walters, OK. They made their home at Temple where they raised 4 sons and a daughter. Betty was a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. She enjoyed keeping house, especially ironing and cooking. She also enjoyed watching the Young and the Restless and the Price is Right on T.V. She loved every opportunity and holiday that her family could all be together. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Jack and Ethel; and two sons, Jack Wayne Tisdale and Larry Tisdale. Survivors include her husband, Quinzell, of the home; 2 son, Arthur Wayne Tisdale and wife, Kathy, and Billy Ray Tisdale all of Temple; a daughter, Brenda Sanchez, of Temple; 13 grandchildren, Jack Wayne King, Evelyn Robinson, Precious Mayfield, Latarri Tisdale, Tiffany Cochran, Erica Johnson, Quinzell Tisdale, Kendra Tisdale, Phillip Tisdale, Ashante Tisdale, Terrance Tisdale, Princess Wheat and Carolena Sanchez; 18 great grandchildren; her extended family, Elouise Wooten, Irma Jones, Jean Stack, Lillian Johnson, Willie Jones and Billy Jones; other relatives and many friends.
