Pat Flippin, 80, of Burkburnett, TX Funeral services at First Baptist Church, Geronimo, OK, 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 2, with Billy Fred Crow, Don Crow, Arbuary Ritter and Duane Perkinson officiating. Burial in the Walters Cemetery under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters, OK. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel in Walters. Memorial donations can be made to First Baptist Church New Building, P.O. Box 128, Geronimo, OK 73543. Patricia Mae (Crow) Flippin was born to Emery Martin and Maudie Ellen (Pointer) Crow on October 2, 1933 northwest of Walters, OK and departed this life in Wichita Falls, TX on August 27, 2014 at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 25 days. Pat grew up south of Geronimo in Cotton County and the family attended New Salem Baptist Church where she was saved and baptized. They eventually moved their membership to First Baptist Geronimo so the kids could attend church with their school friends. She graduated from Geronimo High School in 1951and soon married Glendal Clay Flippin on July 15, 1951at the Flippin home near Cookietown, OK. They moved to Arlington, TX, with their 2 young boys in 1957 and eventually made their home in Carrolton and Granbury as well. She and Glenn moved to Burkburnett, TX in 1990 to be closer to their aging parents. Through the years Pat worked at a bank in Lawton, had been a telephone operator, was employed as a secretary for the cities of Arlington and Carrolton, worked at a dental office in Granbury and was employed at H&R Block in Burkburnett. Pat enjoyed playing basketball while in school at Geronimo and has loved watching all sports. She also enjoyed bowling, sewing, gardening, going to the lake and fishing. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. Pat had been an active member of Union Valley Baptist Church at Cookietown for several years. She was currently a member of Central Baptist Church in Burkburnett, and was also active with a senior group in the community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn in 2002; her infant daughter, Deborah Mae Flippin in 1954; her parents Emery and Maudie Crow; a brother, Emery Jack Crow; and a sister, Doris Fae Spence. Survivors include 2 sons, Gary Flippin and wife Kristi of Lawton, OK, and Randy Flippin of Wichita Falls; a brother, Billy John Crow of Geronimo; 2 sisters, Emaleen Baughman of Nocona, TX and Kay Clopton of Lawton; 5 grandchildren and spouses, Nicole and Rob Serafin of Denver, Natalie and Jason Mielenz of Denver, Kendra Thomas of Arlington, TX, Dustin Flippin, Sr. and fiancé Michele of Wichita Falls, and Russell Flippin of Wichita Falls; 8 great grandkids, Rebecca Flippin, Dustin Flippin Jr., Kendra Park, Gracie Serafin, Landon Serafin, Max Mielenz, Samuel Mielenz and Gage Flippin; a great-great grandson, Carter Allen Mere; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
