Janie Rinette Ross was born to Richard Vincent and Janette (Holt) Ramos in Okinawa, Japan on April 24, 1965 and departed this life in Randlett, Oklahoma on April 29, 2009 at the age of 44 years and 5 days. Rinette grew up in Los Alamos, CA, Haskell, TX and Graduated from Stamford High School in Stamford, TX. She later attained her Bachelors of Arts in English at Midwestern State University and continued to receive her Masters of Education from there. She spent 22yrs as an educator in both Lawton, OK and Wichita Falls, TX. In Lawton she served as an Assistant Principal at Douglass Elementary and in Wichita Falls she was a Teacher at Kirby Jr. High School. She married Charles "Chuck" Ross in Las Vegas, NV on July 11, 1998. She was a member of the (ATPE) Association of Texas Professional Educators and the (IBOMYP) International Bachelorette Organization, Middle Years Program. She was preceded in death by a set of twin brothers, Milton James and Weldon Wayne McWhorter. Survivors include her husband Chuck Ross of the home; her father Richard Vincent of Los Alamos, CA; her mother, Janette and Rick Ramos of Albion, CA; three brothers, Kenny McWhorter of Albion, CA, Thomas McWhorter and partner Todd Reeser of Pittsburg, PA, and Richard Vincent Jr. and wife Kinga of Switzerland; and many other relatives and friends.
