Harold Edward Parkey was born to Carl Edward and Viola Catherine (Thompson) Parkey on April 17, 1931 in the Gregg Community northeast of Temple, OK and departed this life in Wichita Falls, TX on April 28, 2009 at the age of 78 years and 11 days. Harold grew up in the Gregg Community and graduated from Temple High School in 1949. He worked for TOSCO Oil Company (Sun Oil) retiring after 20 plus years and was also engaged in farming and ranching all his life. He enjoyed bowling, playing dominos, and pointing his finger. He loved good food, riding around the country, going to cattle sales, reading, and being around people, especially his grandkids. He was preceded in death by a son Lloyd Parkey, and a brother Don Parkey. Survivors include his wife, Hazel, of the home; two sons, Billy Parkey and wife Lucretia and Floyd Parkey and wife Kim all of Temple; two daughters, LaDonna Mincey, Cathy Jarvis and husband Gene all of Wichita Falls, TX; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
