Patsy Ann Harris

July 17, 1934 — April 21, 2009

Patsy Ann Harris was born to Otis Charles and Jessie Augusta (Waldrip) Woodward in Mt Park, OK on July 17, 1934 and entered her eternal life in Lawton, OK on April 21, 2009 at the age of 74 years, 9 months and 4 days. Patsy was the second youngest of four children. She grew up in Snyder, Oklahoma where she attended grade school and high school. She married Wayne Harris on September 25, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas. He died June 26, 2007. She worked for Southwestern Bell in Lawton, Oklahoma for several years as a telephone operator during the early 1950's. She then went to work for American National Bank in Lawton, in 1971 where she remained until her retirement in 1991. She was very active in her family's many activities, some of which included horseback riding, water skiing, motorcycle riding, camping vacations at various lakes, and FAA activities including showing cattle. Kindness came easily to her and she was always happy to help others. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Curtis Woodward and three great grand-daughters Ashley, Aiyanna and Morgan. Survivors include three daughters, Patti and Bill Walker of Lawton, Rita and Chuck Ballard of Walters, and June Moss of Lawton; three sisters, Shirley and George Kane, Charlene Sanders, all of Lawton and Winifred Bussey of Indiahoma, OK. Grandchildren; Scott Moss of Fort Worth, TX, Hank and Amanda Walker, Clint and Kristi Walker, all of Lawton, Lacy and Dustin Hill of Ft. Benning, GA, and James and Jenia Barber of Elgin, Jennifer and Ernie Herr of Walters, OK and Austin Ballard of Walters. Great-grandchildren are Taylor, Clayton, Zane, Cash, Haylee, Lane, Jerzee, Maycee, Damian, Haleigh and Shooter. Other survivors include Glenn and Susie Harris, Geneva and Mac McIntosh, Brigitte Harris, Bill and Linda Harris, as well as many beloved nieces, cousins, other relatives and countless friends.
