Margie (Mincey) Keeney was born to William Robert and Ora Uretta (Legg) Mincey on December 12, 1923, at Walters, OK and departed this life in Norman, OK on January 28, 2009, at the age of 85 years, 1 month and 17 days. Margie grew up on a farm west of Walters, OK. She married Leon Keeney on April 15, 1945, at Temple, OK, where they made their home until moving to Meridian in 1970. Margie managed Children's World in Duncan for about 10 years before moving back to Temple. She then managed the Tri County Nutrition Site in Waurika for 10 years, retiring in the late 1990's and moving to Pauls Valley. She enjoyed working and reading. Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Leon, on May 13, 1971; 4 brothers, Vestal "Son" Mincey, Shirley Mincey, Woodrow Mincey and Paul Mincey; and 3 sisters, Glenn Clifton, Estal Clark and Robbie Eversole. Survivors include a son Leslie Keeney and wife Deanna of Gun Barrel City, TX; 2 daughters, Diane Huber of Fletcher, OK and Becky Lawrence and husband Stacy of Pauls Valley, OK; 3 grandchildren, Jason Huber, Telly Lawrence and Bridget Lawrence; 3 great grandchildren, Stephanie Lawrence, Joshua Knight and Nyah Lawrence; other relatives and many friends.
