Alan Holt, 69, Comanche, OK

Alan Leroy Holt was born on August 27, 1953 in Duncan, OK to Marion J and Maxine Marie (Bridgers) Holt and departed this life on March 26, 2023 in Lawton, OK at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 27 days.

Alan grew up on Beaver Creek and attended both Empire and Walters Schools. He began farming with his dad and hauling hay with his brother as a teenager and worked in the oilfield for a time. He married Karen Sue Jay on June 29, 1979 at Corum Baptist Church. They made their home 3 miles east of where he had grown up.

Alan loved farming and ranching, and keeping life simple. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening and making road trips. He loved time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Maxine, and his brother, Ralph Holt.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Holt, of the home; 3 children, Tina Sahr and Eric of Lawton, Trent Alan Holt of Comanche, Tassie Marie Berry of Comanche; 7 grandchildren, Katie Alan, Kearston Marie, Kendal Elizabeth, Daniel Taylor, Tyler Austin, Skyla Marie and Coen Monroe; 6 great grandchildren, Liam, Oliver, Aubree, Blaklee, Easton and Wren; other relatives and friends.

Alan's life was celebrated by his family and friends on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
