Military honors will be conducted at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM then at 5:00 PM a Celebration of Life will be held at VFW Post 5263, 103 NE 20th St, Lawton, OK,73507, with Chaplain Beau Wiley officiating.

Anthony Joshua Navarro, known to everyone as Josh, was born February 17, 1988, in Lawton, OK, to John Navarro and Amy Melton, and passed away September 9, 2026, in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 38 years, 6 months, and 23 days.

Josh grew up in Lawton, OK, where he attended Lawton High School. He then served his country honorably in the United States Army, before becoming a music artist known by the stage names Tony Reaper and Genre God, signed with Rhyme Sick Music. He owned Southern Threat Industries and was an entrepreneur of many ventures and never met a stranger.

Josh was a thrill seeker from a young age, whether it was sticking a key in an electrical socket or driving a car into the house at 4 years old. He enjoyed fishing, karaoke, writing and making music, and could pick up any instrument and play it. He loved spending time with his family and his kids and loved his dog Freki.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerry Mack Melton, Lorraine Ann Navarro, and Vernon Phillips; and his aunt, Karalisa Diaz.

He is survived by his two sons, Anthony Navarro and Damian Navarro; his siblings, Jillian Melton-Wiley of Lawton, Jaley Melton-Wiley of Lawton, Jakeb Navarro and spouse Rebecca Brucker-Navarro of Bangor, WA, Jessica Navarro-Harris and spouse Sean Harris and kids of Lawton, Dustin Spicer and spouse Laura Spicer and kids of Lawton, Ashley White and spouse Matthew Decker and kids of Cache, and Amber Squyres and spouse Jessy Squyres and kids of Cache, Lawrence "Turtle" Wilson of Oklahoma City; his parents, Amy Melton and Beau Wiley of Lawton and John and Rhonda Navarro of Lawton; his uncle, Joe Diaz of Lawton; his grandmother, Brenda Phillips of Altus; his longtime companion, Jessica Hamilton of Oklahoma City, his service dog, Freki; along with a host of family, nieces, nephews, and friends across the world.

The family is grateful to everyone Josh toured and performed with over the years. There are too many to list here, but each one of you meant something to him and made an impact.
