Billy G. Edwards

Billy Gene Edwards was born to Francis Howard “FH” and Lois Katherine (Jackson) Edwards on April 15, 1942 in Walters and departed this life in Oklahoma City, OK on August 27, 2023 at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 12 days.

Bill grew up at Walters, graduating from WHS in 1960. He married Andrea L. “Andy” Nelson on March 21, 1961 at Walters. To the union 3 daughters were born. Bill worked for Town and County in Lawton for 10 years before going to work at Calfy Brothers Building Center in 1975. He was with the company for 35 years, retiring in 2010. 

Bill enjoyed staying busy and active working in his shop, tinkering on cars. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, and going to car shows and swap meets. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Andy Edwards; his parents, FH and Lois Edwards; and his brother, Raydell Edwards. 

Bill is survived by 3 daughters, Angel Bowles and Paul of Comanche, OK, Stephanie Knoth and Joe of Faxon, OK, and Dede Garcia of Walters; a sister, Patricia Clark and Rick of Wichita Falls, TX; 2 grandchildren, Tyler Bowles of Comanche and Kelly Garcia of Lawton; other relatives and many friends.
