Funeral Services at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, OK, Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., Brittany Barnes Officiating. Interment at the Temple Cemetery, Temple, OK to follow with John McGee officiating. Visitation and final viewing for family and friends will be held at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.

Cecil Rae (Henson) Witt was born to Cecil Haynes and Iva (Lewis) Henson on September 9, 1939 in Wirt, OK and departed this life in Wichita Falls, TX on November 6, 2022 at the age of 83 years, 1 month and 28 days.

Cecil grew up at Wirt, OK attending Dundee School until moving to Temple, OK where she graduated from THS in 1957. She later received her associate degree from Midwestern. Cecil married Vernon Ray Witt in 1956 at Wichita Fall where they have made their home. She first worked at the drive-in theater and then at the state hospital before receiving her RN. She then worked 17 years at General Hospital, then at Presbyterian Manor, finishing her career in nursing at Kell West.

She enjoyed attending House of Empowerment Ministries in Wichita Falls. She loved her kids and grandkids, and enjoyed playing on the computer and going to Las Vegas casinos.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon Witt; and a sister, Thelma Long.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Deborah Turner and Mike of Eden, TX, Paula McGee and John of Wichita Falls, TX; 2 sisters, Willie Richardson of Wichita Falls, and Janice Ellis and Wilbur of El Reno, OK; a brother, Richard Henson and Pam of Walters, OK; 4 grandchildren, Melia Pullig and Wes of Wall, TX, Drue Hoelscher and Cody of Eden, TX, Brittany Barnes and Jarrod of Brooklyn, NY, Bryan Wilson and Amanda of Wichita Falls; 5 great grandchildren, Mason and Morgan Pullig, Coen, Keyton and Karsin Hoelscher, Marlin Wilson and Deyshawn White; other relatives and friends.
