A Memorial Service will be held Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, OK, on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with Ladd Polk officiating.
Charles Michael O’Neal was born May 27, 1958, in Stuttgart, Germany, and departed this life in Temple, OK on July 9, 2026, at the age of 68 years, 1 month and 13 days.
Charles grew up in Germany until age seven when the family settled in Temple, OK. He graduated from Temple High School in 1976 and soon married Patricia Ann Rogers on August 14, 1976, at Meridian. They made their home in Comanche and to this union 3 daughters were born. Charles worked at Halliburton as a machinist and eventually became a computer programmer. In 1998 he transferred to Halliburton in Carrollton, TX, living in Dallas. He then worked various jobs as a machinist, eventually becoming a long-haul trucker. He had moved to Wichita Falls in 2010 and back to Temple before retiring in 2025.
Charles enjoyed competition shooting, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles O’Neal and Edith McCray; his biological dad, Charles Tindell; and by his grandmother, Edna Rogers.
Survivors include his 3 daughters, Annette Boucher and Donny of Duncan, Kerri Oechsner and Luke of Wichita Falls, TX and Alissa O’Neal and Eric Adkins of Wichita Falls; 7 grandchildren, Chelynne Boucher, Gavin Boucher, Andrew McKelroy, Evan McKelroy, Hannah Oechsner, Elleigh Cating, Ethan O’Neal; 1 great grandson, Elias Boucher with 1 on the way; his biological mother, Erna Preisser of Frankfurt, Germany; 6 brothers and sisters, Kelly O’Neal of Amarillo, TX, Michael O’Neal of Hawaii, Thomas O’Neal and Jill of Sherman, TX, Patricia Goths and Rainer of Germany, Jeanette Tarnowski and Jens of Germany, and Otto Preisser of Germany; other relatives and friends.
