A Memorial Service will be held at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home, Walters, OK, on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., Chris Caldwell officiating. Viewing on Saturday the 22nd from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, with visitation that evening from 5-7:00 pm.

Charles Edward Shaw was born to Billy Russell Shaw and Neta Jo (Fite) Shaw on June 4, 1964 in Lawton, OK and departed this life in Lawton, OK on November 19, 2025 at the age of 61 years, 5 months and 15 days.

Charles grew up in Lawton before moving to Laramie, WY, for his junior year in high school. He stayed in Laramie for 7 years before returning to Oklahoma, making his home in Chattanooga. He worked construction at Goodyear, then drove a truck for Southwest Ready Mix. He eventually hired on with Lawton Transit Mix, first as a driver and later moving to the office becoming a dispatcher.

Charles loved to be around people, laughing and having a good time. He loved his Pittbull Kaylee, affectionately known as “KK.” He enjoyed hunting coyotes and fishing, and loved spending time with his brothers, sister, kids and especially his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Neta Shaw; his daughter, Laura Jo Tarver; and his grandson, Tyson Michael Shaw.

Survivors include a son, Greg Josey of Louisiana; 2 daughters, Heather Shaw of Lawton and Mercedes Shaw of Missouri; a sister, Michelle Brown; 2 brothers, Bobby Shaw and Lana Gardner of Chattanooga, Michael Shaw and Sandra of Chattanooga; 6 grandchildren, Khloe, Khayren, Khynlee, Ashlyn, Hadleigh and Delilah; other relatives and friends.
