Chevy Kay Muirhead

Chevy Kay Muirhead was born October 24, 1994, in Lawton, OK, and departed this life in Springfield, IL, on October 23, 2025 at the age of 30 years, 11 months and 29 days.

The daughter of Judy and the late Pete Muirhead, Chevy lived in Walters until the age of 3 when the family moved to Iowa Park, TX. She graduated from Iowa Park High School in 2013 and then earned her CNA. She later made her home in Springfield, IL, for several years. She was loved by family and friends.

Chevy is survived by her mother, Judy Thomas Muirhead; 3 brothers, Bryan and Maria Muirhead, Phillip and Becky Muirhead, and Peter and Michelle Muirhead; 2 sisters, Carolyn and Virgil McElhaney and Amanda Deist; and several nieces and nephews.

The loss of Chevy was sudden and unexpected. Though our hearts will remain broken, we rejoice in the gift of life our Chevy shared with many through organ and tissue donation.

The Muirhead family will celebrate Chevy’s life at a later date.
