Connie Ann (Secondine) Burnette was born in Lawton, OK on September 12, 1955 and departed this life in Lawton, OK on November 30, 2023 at the age of 68 years, 2 months and 18 days.
Connie was raised in Walters, OK, by her grandparents, Nemah Tomah Kishketon and George Kishketon, Jr., graduating from WHS. She was active in 4-H and the Order of Rainbow for Girls. In 1972 she was an exchange student with Young Farmers of Australia and New Zealand, and in 1972 served as Worthy Advisor of the Order of Rainbow for Girls.
She has been a supporter of youth sports, coaching and sponsoring ASA Fastpitch Softball from 1992-1997. She was active in APA pool leagues and was a team member of two 9-ball teams, going to the National Pool Tourney in Las Vegas in 2012 and 2014. She was a proud member of the Comanche Nation.
Through the years Connie has worked as supervisor of accounts payable with Amarex Inc., an Oklahoma City oil company; worked in accounts payable for Northrip Worldwide Services in Lawton; in accounts payable for Farmers Insurance Group in Arizona; worked for the Comanche Tribe in accounting, enrollment and high education; and finally for Comanche Nation Entertainment.
Connie was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents; her mother, Mary Jo (Tahsuda) Wardeski; and her husband, James C. “Jim” Burnette, II.
Survivors include her daughter, Georgette Natividad of the home in Walters; her son, Andy Reza of Dayton, OH; her sister, Julie Hoover and Travis of Mountain View, OK; a brother, Teddy Wardeski; her granddaughter, Tinley; and many other beloved family members.
