Darrell Curtis Lewis was born to John Rheamon and Mary Lois (Curtis) Lewis on February 8, 1955, in Lawton, OK and passed away on September 3, 2025, in Geronimo, OK at the age of 70 years, 6 months, and 26 days.
Darrell grew up in Geronimo on the family farm and graduated from Geronimo High School, class of 1973. Darrell spent 30 years as the maintenance supervisor for the Lawton Public Schools FFA. While working for LPS, he continued farming and harvesting for himself and others.
He loved his kids and his dog Zion, who could do no wrong. He enjoyed coyote hunting, Harleys, and was a proud member of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Lewis and an infant sister, Cindy Lewis.
He is survived by his children, Kathie Middleton and James of Hedley, TX, Darrell S.C. Lewis and Mishel of Lawton, Sara Grant and Trae of Geronimo, Ricky Patterson of Duncan, Haylea Telford and Matt of Lawton, and Geary Lewis of Altus, OK; his siblings, Shirley Rowland and Jasper of Altus, OK, John S. Lewis of Lawton, Charles Lewis of Geronimo, and Sherry Phillips and Mikeal of Geronimo; 11 grandchildren, Danika Middleton, Kandise Smith, Kevin Smith, Darrell Lewis Jr, Jaxon Lewis, Kylie Stein, Braeden Grant, Traesyn Grant, Maelie Grant, Summer Patterson, Shilo Patterson; 2 great-grandchildren, Waylon Michael Smith and Weston Curtis Smith, numerous nephews, nieces, friends, and his favorite caretaker, Amanda Coats.
