Donald Eugene Anderson was born to Albert Beecher “AB” and Evelyn Claire (Sanders) Anderson on February 8, 1940 in Elgin, OK and departed this life in Comanche, OK on August 26, 2023 at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 18 days.
Donnie grew up in Temple, OK, graduating from THS in 1958. He married Marilyn Diane Bridges in September of 1963 in Temple and to the union 3 sons were born. They made their home in Temple where he was employed with PSO until transferring to Thomas, OK. After a year there with PSO, he owned Anderson Electric and Western Auto for 9 years. They moved to Marlow, OK in 1982 and went to work in the oilfield as a fisherman for DOTCO Fishing Tools, finishing his career 25 years later with Weatherford Petroleum of Elk City. Upon retirement he got back into doing carpentry, which was his love, with buddy Keith.
Donnie was a member of Chisholm Trail Church of Christ. He was a member of the Sterling Trap Club and enjoyed shooting his guns and in his younger days hunting deer. He loved to golf and build cabinets. He was an expert at the game of dominoes, which was his favorite pass time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, AB and Evelyn Anderson.
Survivors include 3 sons, Donald Charles Anderson and Doreen of Kingston, OK, Shane and Denise Anderson, and Lane Anderson and Windy all of Marlow; a brother, Chub Anderson and Dixie of Marlow; 2 sisters, Shirley Reece of Oklahoma City and Marlene Anderson of Elgin, OK; 5 grandchildren, Jonathon Anderson and Alex of Duncan, Emily Peyton and Stetson of Meridian, Luke Anderson of Oklahoma City, Abby Anderson of Marlow, and Atticus Anderson of Marlow; 3 great grandchildren, Klover Peyton, AB Anderson and River Peyton; other relatives and a host of friends.
