Earlene Seymour

Funeral Services at Legacy Church of God in Wichita Falls, TX on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 10:30 a.m., Rev. John Gardner officiating with burial in the Fairview Cemetery, Randlett. Visitation on Thursday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters, OK.


Earlene Linda (Biggs) Seymour was born to Earl Eugene and Clarissa Mae (Golladay) Biggs on March 9, 1941 in Detroit, MI and departed this life in Randlett, OK on August 9, 2020 at the age of 79 years and 5 months.


Earlene grew up in both Michigan and Oklahoma, graduating in 1959 from Bentley High School, Westland, MI. She married Michael Dewayne Seymour on January 12, 1963 at Ecorse, MI. They made their home at Fort Hood for a time and then back to Michigan until returning to Oklahoma in 1975. They were back in Michigan in 1985 staying another 10-year stint before settling back at Randlett in 1995. During her time in Michigan, Earlene worked as a Healthcare aide in hospitals and nursing homes. While in Oklahoma she did childcare and eventually got into homecare. 


She was a member of Legacy Church of God, Wichita Falls. She was passionate about her church and she loved doing children’s ministry and leading children to the Lord. She loved to pray and was known as the family prayer warrior. She loved her family and spending time with them. She also enjoyed baking cakes and cookies, and enjoyed traveling.


Earlene was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Seymour; and 3 brothers, Eugene, Fred and Keith Biggs.


Survivors include her husband, Michael Seymour of the home; 3 children and their spouses, Earl and Cynthia Seymour of Waco, TX, Glen and Cheryl Marsh of Iuka, MI, Michaelin and James Davis of Randlett, OK; 2 brothers, Jerry Biggs of Romulus, MI, Dennis Biggs and wife Mona of Cookietown, OK; 3 sisters and their husbands, Lois and Jim Salvo of Iuka, MI, Bonnie and Denzil Underwood of Walker, LA, Cheryl and Glen Marsh of Iuka, MI; sisters-in-law, Rosie Proctor, Gloria Biggs and Karen Biggs; 2 grandchildren, Felicia Shuck and husband Logan of Iowa Park, TX and Myranda Seymour and fiancé Jeff Smith of Valley Mills, TX; 3 great grandchildren, Leeah, Andrew and Taylee with one more, Lindly, on the way; many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
