Evelyn Jane (Cranford) Schell was born to John Lee and Bertha Irene (Bramlet) Cranford on February 12, 1943 in Walters, OK and departed this life in Walters, OK on July 24, 2023 at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 12 days.
 
Evelyn grew up in Walters, OK and graduated from Walters High School in 1962. She married Irvin John Schell in Lawton, OK on January 13, 1963. She was a homemaker for most of her years but also did home health work for a short period of time.
 
Evelyn enjoyed spending time with family, crocheting afghans for her loved ones, coloring and especially going to the casino. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha and John Cranford; 4 brothers, Mason Cranford, JR Cranford, Erby Cranford and her twin, Everett Cranford; and 2 sisters, Dorthy Billen and Coramae Billen. 

Survivors include her husband, Irvin Schell of the home; 2 daughters, Cherie and husband Tony Defate of Walters, and Terrie and husband Robert Howard of Lawton; 5 grandchildren, Chastity Daniel and Joseph Holcomb of Elgin, OK, Cortney Chemah and Quinton Correll of Del City, OK, Cash Daniel and Ashley Fife of Tuttle, OK, Kailee Howard of Lawton, OK and Aden Defate of Lawton, OK; 8 great grandchildren, Piper and Connor Berry of Elgin, OK, Annalita Correll of Del City, OK, Harper Daniel of Tuttle, OK, Benton and Jarrett Holcomb of Elgin, OK, Arrabella Correll of Del City, OK and Bradean Gower of Tuttle, OK; two surviving siblings, a brother, Charles Cranford of Haslet, TX and a sister, Bevelyn Meyer and Charles of Temple, OK; many other relatives and friends.
