Funeral Services at First Baptist Church, Temple, Friday, November 28, 2025 at 10:30 a.m., Dr. Rob McIlhaney officiating with burial in the Temple Cemetery Viewing at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Temple on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m., and on Thanksgiving Day from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
Glinda Faye Allen, 73 of Temple, OK, left her earthly body on November 25, 2025 in Temple.
Glinda was born on June 4, 1952 in Duncan, OK to Robert & Opal Harper Allen. She was the beloved twin sister of Gayla, & they shared a bond comparable to none other. Glinda graduated from Temple High School & Okmulgee Tech then spent some time working at her mom & dad’s donut shop & later spending several years volunteering at the Temple Nutrition Center.
Glinda was proud to be a Temple Tiger all her life, and one of her proudest moments was being honored by her classmates at their 50 year class reunion for her loyalty to their class & to Temple Public School.
Glinda was a member of First Baptist Church in Temple & attended faithfully until she entered Temple Manor Nursing Home. She spent the last 2 1/2 years at the Manor, & the nurses & staff there became a much-loved second family.
Glinda loved her grandparents, Dan & Lucille Allen, James & Lily Harper, her mom & dad, & Gayla, all of whom preceded her in death.
Glinda also loved & was loved by her older sister & brother-in-law, Steve & Dana McIlhaney, her niece Luci& Luci’s fiancée Ed Hagan, Luci’s children Brice, Millicent, & Phillip Paris, & her nephew & his family, Rob & Wendy McIlhaney & their children Max & Maddux, several cousins, & many friends.
