Hellen Marie (Jenkins) Mahan was born to George Ralph and Floy Verda (Drennon) Jenkins on August 29, 1960 in Lawton, OK and departed this life in Purcell, OK on December 27, 2021 at the age of 61 years, 3 months and 28 days.
Marie grew up and lived in the Fletcher/Lawton area. She married Lacy Floyd Mahan, Sr. on October 20, 1978 in Miami, OK. They made their home in Fletcher, Parsons, KS, Cache and then to Walters in 1996. She worked as a PCA, served as Dietary Manager at Parkview Manor and also did janitorial services for several years for Walters Public Schools.
Marie enjoyed spending time with her dog Mitzi, going fishing, to garage sales and loved spending time with her grandkids who called her “Memaw.” She was always thinking of others and putting them first.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lacy Sr.; and 2 brothers, Finis and Sammy Jenkins.
She is survived by 6 kids, Joe Ralph Mahan of Walters; Phillip Dwight Mahan of Andrews, SC, Troy Allen Mahan and Susie of Andrews, Lacy Mahan and Debby Jo of Lexington, OK Vickey Dollean Claborn and Alan of Elgin, OK and Johnny Carroll Mahan of Andrews; 4 sisters, Rhonda Griffin of Cache, OK, Dora Hanabass of Indiahoma, OK, Francis Robinson of Cache and Julie Pece of Ada, OK; 15 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
