Jean King

Graveside services conducted from the Walters Cemetery in Walters, OK, Tuesday, November 24 at 10:30 a.m., Charles Terry Officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.

Laura Jean (Trout) King was born to Rady Lee and Eudora (Atchley) Trout on July 12, 1931 at Gould, OK and departed this life in the Evergreen Nursing Facility, Burkburnett, TX on November 20, 2020 at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 8 days.

Jean grew up and graduated from Gould High School, Gould, OK. On May 21, 1950, she married Emmett D. King at Hollis, OK. She was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tipton and enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking.

Two daughters, Anita Jean and Patricia Ann, preceded her in death, as well as her husband, Emmett Darrell.

Survivor s include one son, Darrell King, Vernon, TX; two daughters, Barbara Taylor, Ada, OK, Marcia Davis of Arkansas; one sister, Linda Terry of Iowa Park, TX; 10 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
