Josh lived in Walters until moving to Oklahoma City at age 6. The family returned to Walters in 1997, and he graduated from Walters High School in 2002. He and Kelly Louise Sawyer moved to Lawton in 2005 where they built their life together. They married on March 17, 2010, in Lawton. On March 10th, 2016, their son, and greatest accomplishment, Bodie Wade Calfy, was born.
Josh was proud to be a carpenter. He began roofing, then did framing before doing general carpentry with Tim and Troy at CDBL. He then worked for Dependable Home Solutions for a time before working as a carpenter at Fort Sill for his current employer, Professional Contract Services Inc.
Josh enjoyed watching NFL football and was a Fantasy Football expert. He enjoyed being the commissioner of his "No Lockout League" that he created 13 years ago and he was the 5-time No Lockout Champion. He was a big fan of the Indianapolis Colts, the OKC Thunder, and OU Football. Josh enjoyed video games in his downtime, going to the movies with his mom and mother-in-law and his "movie club". Cooking was Josh's love language. He enjoyed making meals for his wife, son, family and friends. He was the BEST COOK, he even invented the “double decker taco.” Josh found the most joy in relaxing at home with his wife and son and his "father-son" trips to the park with Bodie.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jon Horne.
