Graveside service on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at the Waurika Cemetery, Waurika, OK, Pastor Bobby Scott officiating. Viewing will be held at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters, OK on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Linda was born April 26, 1948, in Walters, OK, to Jewell Henry Hayes and Oleta Jodean (Dale) Hayes and departed this life on June 22, 2026 at the age of 78 years, 1 month and 27 days.
Linda grew up in Randlett, graduating from Big Pasture High School in 1966. She married Freddy Zweiaker that year and to the union 2 daughters were born. They made their home in Burkburnett, TX until moving to Cookietown, OK in 1970.
Linda later married Kenneth Warren Barbour in 1981 and the couple settled in Waurika, where they made their home until his passing in 2020. She worked as an office manager for Bethlehem Steel Supply Company in Healdton for several years. She and Ken enjoyed RVing and spent many summers in Southfork, Colorado.
Linda was a member of First Baptist Church in Waurika and played piano for several churches. She was known for her exceptional cooking and had an acre of mowing and landscaping she enjoyed keeping immaculately until her health became an obstacle. Jerrell Thompson has meant the world to her, and they have enjoyed going to the casino together, and loved cooking with and for one another.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Kimberlie Zweiacker of Devol and Christie Zweiacker Sharp and husband, Phil, of The Village, OK; her brother, Tim Hayes of Randlett; her sister, Vickie Bradford of Mineral Wells, TX; a sister-in-law, Sherlene Hayes of Amarillo, TX, and many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Jewel and Jodean Hayes; her husband, Ken Barbour; her brother, Jerry Hayes; and her sister, Judy Gent.
