Graveside Service at the Walters Cemetery, Friday, May 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Paul Metcalf Officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.

Mable Jean Otipoby was born to George Caddo Coosewoon and Christine Perdasofpy Coosewoon on June 3, 1930 in Lawton, OK and departed this life in Temple, OK on May 26, 2025 at the age of 94 years, 11 months and 23 days.

Mable grew up at Walters, graduating from Walters High School in 1948. A full-blood member of the Comanche Tribe, Mable had served as the Tribal Princess in 1947. She married Robert Louis Otipoby on December 7, 1950 in Wichita Falls, TX. Later, in May of 1961 she received her Bachelor of Science from the Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha. They made their home in Lawton, OK where Mable taught school at Eisenhower for many years.

She will always be remembered as a wonderful and dedicated mother to Georgann. Although very prim and proper, she could be lots of fun. She loved all her girly things, furs, diamonds, and her Coach bags!

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Christine Coosewoon; her husband, Bob Otipoby; her infant son, Richard Louis Otipoby; and her daughter and son-in-law, Georgann and Eugene Scott.

Survivors include 2 grandkids, Sean Scott and Tanya of Walters, Shannon Crisel and Steve of Cache; 7 great grandkids and 2 great-great grandkids.
