Mary Hedrick

Mary Vernetta Hedrick was born to Arthur Lavern McCoy and Wilma Nored McCoy on September 9, 1938, in Lawton Oklahoma and departed this life in Tulsa Oklahoma on August 24, 2026, at the age of 87 years, 11 months, 15 days.

Mary graduated from Ahpeatone High School, attended Midwestern University and Cameron University before marrying the love of her life Arnold Hedrick in 1961. She was his faithful helper as he farmed and managed cattle. They made their home in Walters Oklahoma where Mary was a member and served as organist for many years at Bible Baptist Church. She was a compassionate caregiver to her parents and others in the community.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Arthur Lavern McCoy and Wilma Nored McCoy, brother James McCoy, and husband George Arnold Hedrick.

Survivors include her brother Pat and wife Carol of Tulsa Oklahoma, nephews Jason and wife Karen McCoy of Tulsa Oklahoma, Jared McCoy and wife Charlene of Tulsa Oklahoma, Ray McCoy and wife Phyllis of N Hampton New Hampshire, nieces Jennifer Grubbs and husband Luke of Hugoton Kansas, Kathy Weston and husband Craig of Lake St. Louis Missouri, Natalie Plank and husband Gregg of Gardner Kansas, brother-in-law Jerry Nichols of Lake Kiowa Texas and many great nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel, Walters, OK, Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., Rev. John Carlisle officiating. Visitation on Friday from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
