Memorial Services at Addington Baptist Church, Addington, OK, Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m., Rev. Bryce Bohot officiating under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters.

Mary Louise (Ripley) Sanders was born to James William and Eileen Ardyce (Noyes) Ripley on September 27, 1938 in St. Paul, MN and departed this life in Duncan, OK on October 7, 2023 at the age of 85 years and 10 days.

Mary Lou moved with her family to Glendale, CA at age 5, graduating from Hoover High School. She married Crate Eugene Sanders Jr. on February 14, 1956 in Glendale. They eventually moved to Coolidge, AZ and later made their home at Hastings, OK in 1972 with their kids, Gene, Debbi and Jimmie. Along with being a mom, she also worked as a bank teller at First Farmers Bank in Waurika.

Mary Lou enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, playing the piano, shopping and traveling with Bud and the dog. She loved her grandkids. She was member of Hasting Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene "Bud" in 2018; her daughter, Debbi Timms; her son-in-law, Jerry Busby; and her brother, Larry Ripley.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Faith Sanders of Arcadia, OK; her daughter, Jimmie Busby of Waurika, OK; her sister, Joanne Spotten and Fred of Mesa, AZ; 7 grandchildren, Jeremy and Erika Sanders of Mounds, OK, Josh Sanders of Oklahoma City, Karissa and Jonathan, Minson of Oklahoma City, Preston Glasgow of Temple, OK, Randi and Josh Berry of Waurika, OK Ryan and Michelle Busby of Woodward, OK, Camron and Millie Busby of Waurika; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; her Elk Crossing Family; other relatives and friends.
