Melva Jean Lookingglass was born to Joy Ralph and Nancy Marie (Callahan) Sharp on September 19, 1943 in Omaha, NE and departed this life in Duncan, OK on March 15, 2023 at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 24 days.
Melva lived on a farm in Nebraska when she was younger then moved to Parsons, KS, where she grew up and graduated from Labette County High School. As a young lady she worked in beef packing plants in Kansas. She later moved to Oklahoma and worked several years as the head cook at Southwest Medical Behavioral Center in Lawton.
Melva enjoyed cooking, baking, garage saling and going to thrift stores. She loved dancing, listening to music and her T.V. show to watch was Judge Judy.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include 6 children, Wayne A. Love III of Wichita, KS, Wesley J. Love of Grove, OK, Terri J. Faris of Kentucky, Toni A. Lee of Temple, OK, Toby E. Perez of Tulsa, OK and Larry Perez of Walters, OK; 20 grandchildren, Brandi, Michael, Kristi, Jonathan, Jeremiah, Joshua, Jason, Nathan, Amber, Matthew, Joshua, Ashley, Jadance, Carrington, Dylan, Cambrie, Lawrence, Courtnie and Cruz; 10 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
