Mica Rachelle (Fletcher) Smith was born to Michael Edwin and Paula Ann (Agler) Fletcher on October 22, 1975 in Lawton, OK and departed this life on October 22, 2023 in Houston, TX at the age of 48 years.
Mica grew up at Walters, graduating from WHS in 1994. She went on to receive her bachelor degree from Cameron University. During high school, Mica worked at Lucky’s and during college worked for J.P. Richard in Lawton. She then worked for North Pointe Mortgage and then BancFirst downtown Lawton. During this time she married Thomas Duane Smith on June 10, 2006 in Walters. She took a break and began making cakes for special occasions, even teaching the art of decorating cakes at Hobby Lobby.
Mica eventually took an aide position in first grade at Walters Elementary and a few years later took the elementary secretary position, serving there for the past 14 years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Walters. She loved baking and crafting, especially quilting, painting and sewing. She loved her nieces and nephews. Her absolute favorite thing was being Brystol’s mom.
Mica was preceded in death by her father, Mike Fletcher, in 2011.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Smith of the home; her daughter, Brystol Kross Smith of the home; her mother, Paula Fletcher of Walters; her sisters, Michelle Carroll and Kevin of Glenpool, OK, Tori Gonzalez and Sam of Walters; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kenny French and Teresa, Lois Triebenbach and Terry, Tony French, David Smith and Julie Smith, all of Texas; her nieces and nephews, Kyla, Brayden, Keaston, Kaizer, Kelly, KJ, Kristy, Autumn, Jastin, Jordan and Jhermy; many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
