Mike Harold Salts was born to Donald Edgar and Judy Adeline (Gillette) Salts on July 10, 1965 in Goodland, KS and departed this life in Wichita Falls, TX on March 15, 2022 at the age of 56 years, 8 months and 5 days.

Mike grew up in Goodland, KS until moving to Wichita Falls at age 15. He married Laura Lee Hill on November 17, 1982 in Wichita Falls and to the union 4 daughters were born. He learned to wind electric motors for Evans Electric later worked at WEMSCO winding motors from the mid 1990’s to 2018, quitting due to ill health. The family made their home in Charlie, TX in 1995 and back to Wichita Falls in 2001. He has most recently lived in Burkburnett.

Mike was an avid Denver Broncos fan. While in school in Kansas, he was a great wrestler and enjoyed baseball. He lived much of his life upside down as he was able to walk everywhere on his hands. This included up and down the 56 stairs at Rider High. He was a mathematical genius and loved watching the weather. He always enjoyed playing with the kids, nieces and nephews. Mike was a member of First Christian Church in Burkburnett.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister-in-law, Debby Salts; a niece, Le’Chelle Salts; and a great niece Bailey Brady.

Survivors include 4 daughters and spouses, Crystal Steinbeck of Henrietta, TX, Misty Hartman and K.C. of Wichita Falls, TX, Aimee Freeman and Nathan of Fort Collins, CO, Amanda Walter and Quinton of Wichita Falls; his sister, Deda VanDonge and Jhan of Burkburnett, TX; a brother, Tod Salts of Tyler, TX; the mother of his girls, Laura Ingram of Wichita Falls; 13 grandchildren, Kaylie, Zack, Diamyn, Cruz, Jasslyn, Maleiah, T.J., Rylan, Hayden, Ashtyn, Kyson, Ayzlee, and Alora; 6 nieces and nephews, Teresa, Eric, Jenni, Jake, Sarah and Rebekah; numerous great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
