Funeral service has been changed from Randlett Baptist Church to First Baptist Church, Walters OK at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2019.

Michael Dean “Mike” Vache was born to Clarence William and Betty Lou (Gunn) Vache on April 16, 1952 in Wichita Falls, TX and was united with our Lord on May 15, 2019 in Wichita Falls, TX at the age of 67 years and 29 days.

Mike grew up east of Randlett, OK, graduating from Big Pasture High School in 1970 as the class valedictorian. He then attended Oklahoma State University receiving a bachelor degree in Animal Science with a minor in Agricultural Economics in 1974. Mike was the Top Senior in Animal Science and also a member of the Meats Judging Team, where he earned the Top Individual in Meat Judging his junior year at the national competition. He served as Block and Bridal President for 2 years, as well as other campus achievements.

On June 22, 1974 he married Dana Ann Goode and to the union, 3 children were born. Mike made his home at Randlett, where he began his lifelong venture in farming and ranching. He was active with both the Oklahoma and National Cattleman’s Associations, and was currently serving on the Cotton County Farm Bureau Board. Mike was passionate about farming and ranching, and was an advocate for the industry. He had a strong work ethic that was developed both by his strong family roots and full life working in farming and ranching.

Mike enjoyed going to the lake and spent year after year teaching his children to ski and other various water sports. Other family traditions included annual trips to Colorado to go snow skiing as well as summer trips to Colorado for fishing, jeeping, eating, and fellowshipping. Oklahoma State University meant so much to Mike and he had the joy of having all 3 of his children follow in his steps as OSU graduates. Mike was passionate about people and relationships. He rarely met a stranger. Grandchildren became a highlight of his life and he cherished time spent with them.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Mark Sherman.
