Funeral Services at First Baptist Church, Walters, OK, Friday, June 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Arbuary Ritter officiating with burial in the Walters Cemetery. Visitation at Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel in Walters on Thursday evening from 5-7pm.
Randy Joe Miller was born to Joe and Veta Faye (Doty) Miller on March 17, 1963 in Wichita Falls, TX and departed this life in Wichita Falls on June 1, 2021.
Randy grew up at Cookietown, OK and attended Big Pasture Schools. He graduated from BPHS in 1981 and then attended Cameron University for a time before settling into welding, farming and custom harvesting with his dad.
He married Christy Lynn Wagler on July 9, 1984 in Wichita Falls, making their home at Cookietown. In June of 1987 he went to work at Ameron as a maintenance mechanic and later managed the Co-op in Temple, OK for a time. He eventually returned to Ameron, but this time doing steel fabrication under the name of Miller Mechanical.
While in school, Randy was active with his FFA projects and excelled on the basketball court. He also enjoyed going to the lake, doing karaoke, riding his Harley and side by side, dancing, team roping, going to stock shows, spending time with friends, telling jokes, mowing, golfing, playing with the grandkids, spending time on the farm. He also enjoyed quail hunting for years and loved his dogs. He was always ready to do anything. He served on the Farm Bureau Board for 15 years and the Big Pasture School Board for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Miller.
Survivors include his mother, Veta Miller of Walters, OK; his wife, Christy Miller of the home; 3 children and spouses, Errika Hathaway and Larry of Walters, Riyan Miller of Cookietown, Karissah Whitaker and Jordan of Burkburnett; 9 grandchildren, Austin, Kiarra, Zakery, Kynlea, Kason, Bodie, Brysen, Parker and Maggie; his sister, Deborah Miller of Chattanooga, OK; his in-laws, Richard and Zola Wagler of Wichita Falls; other relatives and many many friends.
Memorial Donations can be made to Big Pasture Public Schools or the Walters Cemetery Association.
