Funeral Services at Devol First Baptist Church, Devol, OK, Friday, June 17, 2022 at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Justin Cardwell officiating with burial in the Fairview Cemetery, Randlett, OK under the direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home in Walters, OK. Visitation on Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett, TX.

Richard Glen McCluskey was born to Glen Hugh “Cotton” and Marianne (Baker) McCluskey on May 17, 1949 in Wichita Falls, TX and departed this life on June 12, 2022 in Wichita Falls at the age of 73 years and 26 days.

Richard grew up south of Temple on Cache Creek, graduating from THS in 1967. He then attended Cameron for 3 years followed by a year at Oklahoma State. He married Sharon Kay Cook on April 6, 1974 in Lawton, OK and to the union two children were born. They made their home in Burkburnett, TX and was hired at PPG, retiring as a shipping manager after 37 years at the plant.

Richard enjoyed hunting, farming and working in his shop. He also loved listening to music and following OSU sports. He attended First Baptist Church in Devol.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Marianne McCluskey.

Richard is survived by his wife, Sharon, of the home; 2 children, Laura Mitchel and husband Chris of Edmond, OK and Michael McCluskey of Wichita Falls, TX; 2 brothers, Pat McCluskey of Douglass, KS, and Bob McCluskey and wife Gail of Idalou, TX; 2 grandchildren, Meredith Mitchel and Owen Mitchel; other relatives and a host of friends.
