Sally grew up south of Temple, OK, graduating from THS in 1965. She went on to complete a bachelor degree from Oklahoma State University in 1969. While in College she married James William Eckhardt in 1968 at Temple. To this union a son, Perry William, was born. Sally was an active, multi-generational member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, curated the Church Library, and coordinated funeral dinners. She enjoyed crocheting heirloom pieces, completing puzzles, playing the piano, cutting grass with her zero-turn mower, and visiting with friends. She loved keeping up with her family’s activities, and relished cooking and baking. She was a passionate fan of OSU Sports.
